Tonight was Kendra's (aka K-Dub's) first night of T-ball. While we all had a SMASHING good time, we learned some very valuable lessons.
Your first T-ball game is very exciting. You arrive pumped and ready for the action.

The first catch is great...and after that initial panic when you think, "oh crap, I got it, now what do I do with it", you just want to celebrate that you made a play!
Try very, very hard not to hit the coach when you go up to bat. After you take a swing and he moves, go ahead and hit the ball as hard as you can...but try very hard to remember to DROP THE BAT and RUN! It's okay if the coach has to take the bat, and tell you to run.
The end of the game is very boring, but there is lots of dirt that you can kick around and draw in with your foot. You'll always be entertained. If all else fails, ask mommy to take you potty in the middle of the game for a distraction!
I honestly think this game was invented by some very bored parents who wanted their children to entertain them for an hour. I'm glad we got a coach who doesn't take it too seriously and allows the kids to be themselves and have a good time, while still teaching them the fundamentals. We can't wait for the next one!
